Taiwan's a really beautiful place, man... Was so reluctant to come back to singapore. Shopping is cheap, food is good, weather is superb.

We spent 2 weeks training in 梅林, somewhere around 台中 area. 3-day navigation, 2-day battle course and 8-day field exercise. Navigation meant boundless fun, when we slept in temples or jungles and had 鸡排 and bubble tea everyday (oops!), while the field exercise meant foot rot. Thanks to the downpour in the last few days, both my feet were soaked in rain and mud water for days, and resulted in foot rot.

Yes, training was xiong, but the R&R was worth it! ;)

台中

Theme park

台北市

Some really cool exhibitions... 小人国

故宫博物院, the most boring place i ever stepped into. The moment the tour guide started leading us around inside the museum, me and a few buddies just took off and went elsewhere to chill on our own. What's in the museum? Pottery, calligraphy, and all the ancient chinese artefacts kinda stuff... Wa piang eh, i cannot take it.

忠烈祠, a place to honour the martyrs of Taiwan. Just like Istana, they had the unmovable guards at the entrance, and precision drill parades.

Went to a club called Lava in 台北市 somewhere near the 101 building. Entrance was NT$600 (~S$30), and drinks were FREE FLOW throughout the night sia! Music's good too. Starting not many ppl, play slow jazzy songs, near midnight all the clubbing songs all come out already, alot like phuture. Drink until seh, and was late the next morning.

士林 night market, 人山人海 sia. One small street can squeeze for over 30mins to get to the other end. But the food and shopping there was ultimate.

西门町

Taiwan's a really really nice place. I wanna go back there again soon leh... But good old singapore is still where all my friends and family are ;)

Next month will be going to KL, if i can get my leave applied and transportation + accomodation secured in time. Can't get enough of the escapades!
